springtime green - our own little biospheres

with the changing season, we have had near perfect weather this week. great weather brings garage/estate sale season! yay! we hit 7 estate sales yesterday, and i found some wonderful vintage fabric that i hope to use to make something fabulous. last weekend jed went to garage sales by himself and some really cool items. he bought these two homemade biospheres that have become a part of our kitchen world. all you have to do is add a little water when you don't see moisture on the glass. i have a notoriously brown thumb, so i'm hoping to keep these alive. check them out:



i think these would be a great project for kids, like a little home science fair!
