Easy Disney Photo Backdrop

We are a Disney loving family and love to celebrate. We recently hosted a #DisneySide play date recently for some of our sweet friends and today I’m sharing a few easy tips to help you throw your own. I set up an easy Disney photo booth backdrop to take keepsake photos of the mamas and kids, made tasty Mickey Mouse inspired treats, and had a blast. We were so thrilled to be chosen to host a #DisneySide party again this year, thanks to the folks at Disney Parks. Our Disney Side Party

We invited our friends over for a play date, and asked them to dress up as their favorite Disney character. We had everyone from Dusty to Anna to Sheriff Callie represented, and it was so much fun. I wanted to keep it really simple, and only had a few priorities for the gathering. One of those was to get photos with the mamas IN the picture. Because we are usually behind the camera, we end up being left out of the photos. Am I right, ladies?

Disney Photo Booth Backdrop

I set up an easy Disney photo booth backdrop using brown butcher paper, a birthday garland hung backwards (so you couldn’t see the words, and Mickey Mouse shapes cut out of black construction paper. I used a Mickey cookie cutter to trace the shapes and cut them out and taped them to the backdrop. The goal was for them to look like Mickey shaped polka dots. I thought it turned out super cute and it cost almost nothing to assemble.

Getting small children to hold still, look at the camera, and smile, is almost impossible, but we still managed some sweet shots of the mamas with their little ones.

Some of the kids loved posing and trying on different costumes. We played the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Pandora station and snacked on my Mini Mickey Mouse Popcorn Balls and a few other treats.

Thanks to the folks at Disney Parks we were able to send everyone home with fun party favors.
