The season of giving can be so joyful, but can also come with the stress of choosing the perfect gift for all the people you care about in your life. When the folks at Zoës Kitchen (my favorite lunch spot) contacted me with opportunity to share their deliciousness with some of my favorite people, I jumped at the chance. They challenged me to find three folks in my life who deserved a special treat this holiday season. Narrowing it down to three was incredibly difficult, but I decided on three women who serve with me in Young Life and YoungLives. Each of these ladies give so much of their time, energy, and love to this ministry and I wish I could give them so much more. Anita Vantreese is the regional coordinator for YoungLives in North Central Texas, and one of my best friends. It is truly a joy to get to work with her in this ministry and to watch the way she leads and pours out love with the heart of a servant. Catha Goss is the regional administrator for Young Life North Central Texas, and a godly woman who inspires me every day with the she loves her family, her co-workers, and this ministry. She keeps us all in line and works tirelessly behind the scenes to help the ministry run smoothly. She’s the best.
The third recipient is Rachel Chase, the team leader for Richardson YoungLives. She leads the team I volunteer on, and in the past few weeks has helped teen moms and their volunteer mentors walk through the death of one of our girls, the death of a precious baby, and a Christmas gift campaign to help our girls have a great holiday with their children. She is amazing and I feel so blessed to be on her team, even though I failed to get a photo. 😉
