BabyFruit Ticker

We could not be more excited to share our good news! I’m pregnant! Our first baby is due at the end of May. This pregnancy has been a huge part of my disappearance from the blog lately. I have been so tired and the nausea has been out of control. That is all on top of losing Jed’s mom, my huge fundraising banquet, and moving. Yikes. Things are still a little crazy, but hopefully I will be around a little more now that I have nausea meds. πŸ™‚ I’ll have lots more posts about the pregnancy, so I hope you don’t mind. I have baby on the brain lately. Is it weird that I think the blob on the sonogram is really cute? Because I definitely do think it is the cutest baby blob I’ve ever seen. The whole sonogram thing was weird, but totally worth it. After seeing my baby and hearing the heartbeat, I definitely feel like a mama.

  1. Congratulations! My babes are three years old and one month old…and I still feel like they were both just born! Enjoy this time of pregnancy (especially after the anti-nausea meds kick in!) I can’t wait to read about you feeling the baby move for the first time.

And May babes are awesome little bundles! *my first is a May babe πŸ™‚ I’m biased, lol!*

    Congrats again!

  2. I actually said, “Awwwwww” out loud when I read this! Congratulations, Becca! May babies are fabulous- my first one was a May baby. Its great because you don’t have to stay in the house for weeks because it is cold and flu season and the Ped. doesn’t want to expose the baby. With a May baby, you can just get out and go places(which is nice for a new Mommy). I am so happy for you!

  3. Congrats! That is wonderful news. I am behind in my blog reading due to being transferred again in less than a year. I think I have some reading to do on your blog!

Take it easy and rest up!

  4. YAHOOOOOOO!!! Awesome and glorious and wonderful news!!! So happy for you!!! It is quite the experience…every single bit!!! Enjoy it all. Take notes. Write a book about it, for heaven’s sake! It is by far one of the most enchanting happenings in a lifetime!!!

Oh and sugared ginger helps tremendously with nausea…a lump or two in a cup of camomile tea…if you can’t take chewing it!!!

Hope to read more about your wee babe experience!!!

  5. Fairly new to your blog but so excited for you!!! I have four babies of my own ages 8-2 years and love hearing about pregnancies and babies so I shall stick around to hear all about it.

  6. Ahhhhh, I’m so happy for you!!! Since I was a little girl my Mama would always tell me that when someone is expecting….someone else they know will pass by the time the baby is born! I remember asking my girlfriend if she was pregnant when her step father passed. SHE BURST INTO TEARS AND SAID YES! The only reason I asked her is because we are both from similar family back grounds, but I always found it incredible. Anyways, I am so happy for you and I hope you both are doing well after the passing of J’s mother.

TAKE GOOD CARE OF THAT CUTIE PIE,
    XOXO,
    Carol

  7. YAY!!! CONGRATS!!! We are due in the middle of May, but I haven’t come out on my blog yet. I am still in the throws of morning sickness and exhaustion, even with some amazing meds to help it. I totally understand how you feel about being in love with something that still looks blobby. Ours is just starting to look like a baby, just really really tiny (we are 11 weeks today).

Again – Congrats!!! I can’t wait to read how your journey through this goes & I am so excited to have someone else going through it at the same time!
