we are headed to the beach in less than a week, and i am so ready. one of my favorite beachy recipes (and favorite dessert ever) is this easy key lime pie. is was given to me by mom’s friend mary (she is my friend as well, but my mom gets the credit for knowing her first. at any rate, it is super easy. there is none of the zesting or making of meringue that goes with other key lime pie recipes.
mary’s easy key lime pie
the ingredients:
1 graham cracker pie crust
1 14 oz. can of fat free sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup key lime juice (i use paul and joe’s or mrs. biddie’s)
i really like the key lime taste, so i use 3/4 cup
1 container fat free cool whip

place the plastic cover that came with your pie crust
back over the pie to make a dome.
put your pie in the freezer for at least 8 hours,
preferably overnight.

this pie serves 8-10.
it contains 240-300 calories and about 5 grams of fat per slice,
depending on your slice size.
that is not bad at all for a delicious dessert.

Oh, how I love key lime pie. This really is an easy one and it looks delish. I usually bake mine, but I am thinking I should try this one and save a ton of time and heating the kitchen. You and I have the same taste, I show my feet and my cute shoes in a lot of my posts, why not slip in some fun shoes too!!
That looks like a great and easy recipe! Thanks for sharing it.
This was served on a cruise ship and you’re right it is just so reminiscent of the beach to me! I will make it this week! Thank you so much.
jacqueline – it saves soooo much time. it literally takes ten minutes max. i figured with the title of my blog, i had to show some feet, right?
Becca, I never know where to reply when someone leaves a question on my blog. Do I answer there or on their blog…So in answer to your question about my firework picture. I took about 20 pictures and that was the best one. My new camera, a Panasonic Lumix has a firework setting. It is by far the best photo of fireworks that I have ever taken.
Love reading your blog… I never knew who Bret Michaels was, until Apprentice, but I really like him and his creative genius.
I love Key Lime Pie! Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe with us at Anything Related!

Yum yum yum! I love key lime pie:)
Looks delish! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I will be sure to use it.
Thank you for hosting Beach Week. This is my first visit to your blog but I will be back often.

Hi, I just discovered your blog from a link at Mother Earth News (pretty impressive linkage!). Congratulations on your almost baby.
This pie looks good but do you have any idea how bad all Cool Whips and non-dairy creamers are for you, not to mention your baby? They are loaded with hydrogenated fats and HFCC. Here is a site that offers some alternatives. Personally I’m with the real cream group, but there are other options.
