Making jewelry can be a fun and frugal way to add style to your wardrobe. A diffuser necklace is so much more than an accessory. Diffuser necklaces help you to enjoy your favorite essential oil throughout the day without having to reapply. I love using essential oils to lift my mood, bring focus, or help me relax. I’ve seen many different diffuser necklace styles, but hadn’t found one I loved. I wanted something that would work well but also blend with my wardrobe and sense of style. This necklace is functional and fashionable, and so easy to create. Use the tutorial below to make our own.

Hand Stamped Fishing Tackle & Gifts from Fish with Hope and Stamped with Hope ~ Festive Family Holiday Gift Guide Review
Personalized gifts from Fish with Hope and Stamped with Hope are a part of my holiday gift guide for the second year in a row for a very good reason. Meaningful, personal gifts for men that they can actually use are difficult to find. In both shops you’ll find gifts that are practical, useful, and well made. Read on for our review of the father/daughter gift set I had made for my brother and his daughter.
Anthro Inspired Vintage Necklace Remake
I love all of the gorgeous statement necklaces that Anthropologie and a lot of other stores have been featuring lately. The ones at Anthro are priced from $42-$198, which is way out of my price range, as usual. I found this lovely faux pearl bib choker at an estate sale for $2. Vintage costume jewelry is my favorite kind of estate sale find. It needed a little help, so I removed the broken clasps and attached ivory grosgrain ribbon so that I could adjust the length.
Here are the different length possibilities:
Short
Long
Extra Long
Even longer
The necklace is backed with lovely ivory satin. It is a little stained and worn, but I like to call that vintage character.
One clasp wouldn’t come out, but it doesn’t show when I wear the necklace. I simply glued the ribbon on with craft glue. It would probably look neater if I sewed it on, but I don’t know how to sew. Oh well, it works.
Some of the pearl beads are worn, but I don’t mind.

jewelry organization – a repurposed bulletin board
a few weeks ago i created a cake plate style jewelry holder that i love. it created a problem in that it couldn’t quite contain my jewelry collection. i don’t have anything fancy, but i want to take good care of it and have it organized in such a way that i can use it easily. we had an old bulletin board lying around, so i thought i should put it to good use.
trying to finish up for ages. then i bought some blue and white
striped ribbon to cover the ugly edges.
here is the corner of my bedroom.
i think the jewelry bulletin board fits in nicely.
the flower was used on the guest book table at my wedding.
i didn’t know what to do with it after,
and i think it adds a sense of whimsy to the room.
crafty solutions: a new cake plate jewelry holder
my dresser is a disaster. jewelry and makeup are strewn about, and my jewelry box can’t hold all of my stuff. i know it is a ridiculous problem to have, but it bothers me. i’m sure you’ve seen these lovely cake plate jewelry holders all over blogland. they inspired me to try it for myself. i found 2 brass candle sticks at a garage sale for next to nothing and then started looking for cool plates. i looked everywhere. garage sales, estate sales, target, and then finally the crate and barrel outlet. at the c & b outlet i found 3 beauties for under $10 total. finally, we were ready for action.
we used it to cover the brass for a totally different look.
an ivory plate in the middle,
and then one with cobalt blue flowers on the top.
