Take Your Kids to Experience Junior Knights Training at Medieval Times This Spring Break

Did you know that Medieval Times is now offering special Junior Knights Training at the Dallas Castle over Spring Break? It is the perfect opportunity for your brave young knight to prepare for battles of imagination. Wondering what it includes? I’ve got the scoop.

 

During Junior Knight Training Kids Will Enjoy: Watching an exclusive weapons demonstration by our Knights and Weapons Master, and learning about the grueling training it takes to become a Knight. Upon completion of their training your children will be knighted by her majesty Maria Isabella in a group knighting ceremony.

Knights Training is available Friday March 8th before the 6pm show and before all 2pm shows March 11 – 15. Admission is included with purchase of ea
ch child’s ticket. Children must be between the ages of 5 and 12 to participate. Space is limited and training is available on a first come first served basis. Training is open to both boys and girls. Closed toe shoes are required to participate.

In the name of Christmas card photos, I coerced my family out in to a field at our favorite hiking spot dressed in coordinating clothing while I snapped 1,276 frames trying to get a few usable ones for our cards. My precious Pearl Girl is wearing the most darling little dress from my new favorite local shop. I am in love with Olive Mae Clothing, a Plano based store featuring gorgeous handmade clothes for little girls designed and sewn in the back of the shop and sold in the store and online here.

When I first saw it, I thought it was the coolest and most practical space. She turned the closet in to a bunk bed, leaving all the floor space for play. Shaun the Sheep Movie Giveaway

We are huge fans of Shaun the Sheep and his crazy flock around our house, and can’t wait to see the Shaun the Sheep Movie when it comes out on August 5th. In this full length movie, Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun and gets a little more action than he bargained for.  A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill leads the flock to the Big City. Shaun and the flock have to work together to return everyone safely to the green grass of home. While the nails and the dirt can’t be helped, we’ve found the easiest solution to get our kids to brush their teeth. I shared strategies for teaching kids how to brush their teeth last week. Establishing healthy oral care routines for kids is so important, so this time I’m sharing how to get them WANT to brush their teeth. It is so simple, I can’t believe it took me so long to figure it out.

5 Simple Strategies to Help Kids Conquer Bed WettingIt isn’t fun to talk about, but bed wetting can be such a frustrating struggle for kids and their caregivers. Our son was potty trained for months, with no accidents during naps or a night when all of a sudden he started wetting the bed again. It was so hard not to get mad and frustrated when we were changing the sheets AGAIN after months of dry nights. When I learned that enuresis (bed wetting) is normal for kids long after the potty training years, I realized we needed to develop a few strategies to make sure we were all getting good sleep and help us conquer bed wetting.
